New security feature introduced: IMEI locks

Last Mile Solutions is committed to the highest standards of security to protect your business as a Charge Point Operator.

To further enhance the security of your charging infrastructure, we have introduced a new security feature: IMEI locks. These IMEI locks have recently been applied to all existing SIM cards provided by Last Mile Solutions. You do not have to take any action to enable them. 

What is an IMEI lock?  

An IMEI lock restricts each SIM card to operate only in its assigned charging station. This is done by pairing the SIM card with the station’s unique IMEI number. If the SIM card is used in another station, the network will automatically detect the mismatch and block the connection.  

This security measure protects your charging stations from misuse and potential fraud, ensuring operational reliability.
