QR Codes Explained

Incorporating a QR code onto your charging station is a convenient way to streamline the charging and payment process for your customers through their smartphones. Depending on the specific white-label application in use, these QR codes can serve to direct EV drivers to various platforms, including the ECQ app, the White-label Standalone app, or the Web-App.

Please note: It is the Provider’s responsibility to download, and/or print QR codes for the charge stations or charge points.

QR codes in EVC-net

Each charging point is assigned a distinct identifier known as the EVSE-ID. On the EVC-net platform, this EVSE ID is automatically generated when a new charging point or channel is added. The EVSE ID plays a pivotal role in the creation of a default QR code, which, in turn, enables smartphone users to easily access the charging point within any LMS white-label app or the Direct Payment Service (web app).

QR codes are automatically generated when adding a new charge point or channel to EVC-net. Each QR code is unique, and every charging point has its own QR code.

Default QR Code Details

The default QR code is readily accessible for every charging point within the EVC-net platform and can be easily obtained for printing purposes.

To obtain the QR code, follow these simple steps within your EVC-net account. First, navigate to the “Charge Points” section and select “Search” to locate your specific charging station. Once you’ve found your charging station, open the detailed view for that station.

Next, scroll down to the section labelled “Channels.” These channels represent the individual charging points within your charging station. On the far right-hand side of each channel entry, you will find the QR code along with its graphical representation. You can view or download the QR code by clicking on the QR code icon.

QR Codes & White-Label Apps

There are two ways to open charge point details, if any of the White-Label Apps is installed in users smartphone:
