What is CPO-Pilot?
CPO-Pilot is an AI-driven operations add-on that helps CPOs resolve malfunctions automatically, reduce support costs and improve uptime.
CPO-Pilot runs as an add-on to the CPMS platform. From the CPMS platform (API connection), CPO-Pilot continuously retrieves real-time data and status updates from charging points. Based on this information, the system detects, analyzes and repairs malfunctions automatically – without the need for operators to intervene manually.

Why CPO-Pilot?
In less than three years, the number of publicly accessible charge points in the Netherlands has doubled to over 220,000, while the number of active CPOs has stabilized at just over 100. This means that each operator now operates an average of ≈ 2,200 charge points – a scale at which uptime, utilization rates and customer experience make the difference between kWh volume and downtime. With increasing grid congestion, stricter SLA requirements from concessionaires, and the battle for loyal EV drivers, the market is shifting from “putting up more poles” to operating smarter.
How does it work ?
The system responds almost instantly to status changes in the CPMS platform and performs resets only when it makes sense and is safe to do so. Thanks to a smart queuing system with built-in delays, CPO-Pilot prevents network overload and ensures efficient use of resources.
Each reset action is recorded within the CPMS platform, allowing operators to understand the cause, context and outcome of each reset through CPO-Pilot. By making context-aware decisions – for example, ruling out resets during active sessions or statuses such as “charging” and “preparing transaction ” – CPO-Pilot ensures a safe charging experience.
