Introduction to APIs

API is an abbreviation which stands for Application Programming Interface. It refers to a collection of mechanisms that enable software components to communicate via preconfigured definitions and protocols. Via an API connection, you can link your own apps, databases, dashboards, etc. to the database of Last Mile Solutions, thereby allowing for more efficient and elaborate automation. 

As such, APIs are not necessarily a replacement for existing interactions with the database via the EVC-platform, which is our default front-end. Instead, API connections may allow for differentiated forms of interaction with the database, a customized customer journey or a streamlined cooperation between existing programs and the EVC-net platform.

API Suite

Although EVC-Net offers a versatile and customizable management system to our diverse customer base, we understand that larger organizations, in particular, could highly optimize their EV-tracking, billing, and collection, as well as overall management capabilities by directly tapping into the data flow facilitated by LMS. This allows your own intranet, apps, customer management system, or database to run parallel to the EVC-Net.

LMS, therefore, enables our solution to be compatible with your organization via a multitude of APIs, including OCPI modules, APIs, and a Single Sign-On (SSO) solution. Upon confirmation of your purchase, our team of experienced Connectivity specialists will create an entry point to which you can establish a direct connection. Once mutual confirmation has been given, approving the connection enables direct interaction with your organization’s EVC-environment.

They will provide you with an indication of the expected costs and eventually coordinate a first meeting with our Connectivity specialists, who will guide you through the initial setup phase.
