QR Code Flow Overview

1: CPO flow for direct payment service (Web)

Pure CPO would choose to guide EV drivers to the Direct Payment service website. However, if the ECQ app is already installed end-user’s device, the ECQ app will open instead of the website.

2.1: eMSP & CPO flow when ECQ app is not installed

When ECQ app is not installed, EV drivers are guided to the Direct Payment service website. Here, they will be presented with the option to either download the ECQ app, or continue in browser.

2.2: eMSP & CPO flow when ECQ app is installed

When ECQ app is installed, the charge point details are open directly in ECQ app. EV drivers will not be guided to the Direct Payment website.

Fixed list price offered and billed by LMS towards CPO.

For whom is Web App useful for?

The new service is developed for CPOs who would like to offer a browser-basis anonymous charging with direct payments to their EV drivers without downloading a mobile app.

Is the Web App in line with the German / EU regulation related to direct / ad hoc payment?

Yes, it complies with the latest regulation to provide, mandatory for public charge stations, a low-threshold option to charge your car without any contract or app download anonymously.

I’m CPO and MSP, what are my options for offering direct payment?

If you’re Pure CPO, you can offer New Direct payment service. If you’re both CPO and MSP, you can offer the Direct payment service or White-lable app via an intermediate screen where the EV-driver can choose.

Will direct payment via the ‘Laadpaal app’ remain available?

This new service will replace the ‘Laadpaal app’ over time so it’s highly recommended to migrate

Are there specific terms and conditions used towards the end-user?

Yes, there will be specific terms and conditions regarding direct payment, maybe not from the start but they are currently in development and will be added digitally asap.

In what extent can I customize this Web App?

Your logo and your brand colors will be applied. Beyond this, additional Look & Feel customization is not possible. 

Can I customize the email sender ID? 

No, your customer will receive an email from noreply@lastmilesolutions.com

Can I waive the direct payment fee to my customers?

Is this new service a threat to my MSP business?

No, because the end-user is charged a service fee of €0,75 excluding VAT for every direct payment charging session, which will increase the total session price significantly. Whereas this will not be applied when he or she uses the charge card provided by his or her MSP. Furthermore, in case the CPO is also MSP (with our white-label ECQ app) it will prompt the EV-driver as well with the option to perform the charging session via the ECQ app with his charge card. If not having the ECQ app this will be prompted to the EV-driver as well.

Is the receipt (simplified invoice) customizable?

No. LMS is the issuer of the receipt

Can users retrieve a receipt later if they did not opt-in to receive it during the session?

No.

What happens if a charging session stops in an abnormal manner? Such as: User closes the website and does not leave their email

There are to ways to stop the session:
1) Re-scan the QR code (using the same device) to access the ongoing charging session website.
2) Call the first line Helpdesk, identify the station and session, and ask them to stop the session.
