Fleet Role Details

With the Fleet Roles feature, you will get access to Fleet Manager and Facility Manager roles, which you can freely assign to your customers. You can combine the two roles to give selected customers access to all management rights of Fleet & Facility.

These roles give your end customers advanced management rights, offering granular control over EV assets.

How can I enable Fleet roles for my customers?

To enable Fleet roles for your customers, you need to first ensure that the feature is enabled at your provider level. Please contact our Customer Care Team or your account manager for assistance.

I am a sub-provider. Can I enable Fleet roles for my customers?

Yes, sub-providers have the ability to enable Fleet roles for their customers.

How many Fleet roles can I offer to my customers?

Once Fleet roles are enabled, you can offer an unlimited number of roles to your customers. However, fair use policy applies, and it is not permitted to replace regular accounts with Fleet roles.

Can I use one email address for multiple accounts?

Yes, you can use one email address to manage multiple accounts with different assigned roles. The user names have to be unique.

I want to apply Fleet roles to my existing customers. How can I proceed?

Applying Fleet roles to existing customers may require migration efforts and adjustments to the existing configurations. To apply for Fleet roles, it is recommended to consult with our Customer Care team or your Account Manager for guidance and support.

Can I provide system user roles to my end-customers in addition to Fleet roles?

No, end-customers are not eligible to use system user roles by default. Sharing system user login credentials with end-customers is strictly prohibited, as it poses security risks. Fleet roles are specifically designed for end-customers with limited accessibility and should be utilized for their needs.

What are additional responsibilities will CPO/MSP take up when adopting Fleet roles?  

1. Organization Configuration: CPO/MSP should accurately configure Organizations (User groups), encompassing all EV assets, including company and employee accounts, charge cards, charge stations, and transaction information. 

2.Assignment of Roles: It is the responsibility of CPO/MSP to appropriately assign Fleet or Facility managers to Organizations. Incorrect assignments may result in privacy and security breaches. 
Security Concerns: Incorrect configurations pose a risk of privacy and security breaches. For example, if a Fleet manager from ‘Company A’ gains access to the EV assets of ‘Company B,’ it could lead to a serious violation. CPO/MSP using Fleet roles bear full liability for such consequences. 

3. Preventing Issues: To prevent such problems, it is crucial to plan the design of organizations for customers in advance. Consulting with your account manager or Solution manager is recommended to avoid mistakes and ensure a secure setup. 

Ensuring accurate configurations and thoughtful planning is essential to prevent privacy and security issues for all customers involved. 

What are privacy related concerns when adopting Fleet roles? 

When granting Fleet or Facility manager roles to end-customers, CPO/MSP should be mindful of the extended access these roles may have to EV assets. This access could exceed that of regular end-user accounts, potentially allowing access to assets across multiple companies. 

To address this, CPO/MSP may need to collect consents from end customers, informing them about how their personal information will be processed. Failure to collect sufficient consents and resulting in unauthorized access will solely be the liability of the CPO/MSP using Fleet Roles.
